ANAD, National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders, will hold a North Jersey support group meeting for men and women with eating disorders and their families and friends. 

The meetings run from 8-9:00pm Monday evenings at the St. Matthew Trinity Lutheran Church Parish Center on 731 Washington Street, Hoboken NJ.

Meetings are held every Monday and they are free and all are invited to attend.  This is a support group where it gives people an opportunity to share and grow from each other’s experiences.

Don’t miss the free screening of the award-winning independent film, ‘Seoul Train,’ a gripping documentary expose into the life and death of North Koreans refugees as they try to escape their homeland and China by a secret ‘underground railroad’!

The New York Times calls the film “brilliant”; the Wall Street Journal says it’s “so compelling that you can‘t stop watching, even though you know it will haunt your dreams.”

The film will be screened this Thursday at 8pm at 301 Garden St, followed by a Question & Answer session with representatives from Liberty in North Korea (LiNK). The free screening is presented by LiNK (www.linkglobal.org) and Hoboken Grace (www.hobokengrace.com).

Party With Purpose takes it to the streets with our 6th Annual 5K along the majestic Hoboken waterfront. Last year’s event featured 1200 runners and ranks as one of the best races in/around New York City. We expect this year to be even bigger and more exciting!

What: Party With Purpose 6th Annual Hoboken 5K, Kids Fun Run and After Party

Where: Pier A in Hoboken, NJ

Description:
The Party With Purpose 6th Annual Hoboken 5K race aims to bring the entire community together for an evening of fun, fitness and fundraising to benefit the Hoboken Boys & Girls Club and Jubilee Center.  The race is great for all levels from beginner to advanced and is USA Track & Field certified.  Prizes will be awarded for individuals for the best time.  We are now also accepting teams!  Create a team for work, friends, relatives or neighbors – be creative – and run for a great cause.  Team prizes will include best overall co-ed time, best male and female time, most runners in the team and most funds raised.  Cost is $25 before 7/1. $30 after 7/1.  Early number/good bag pick up will be at Fleet Feet (604 Washington) on Saturday, July 10th and Sunday. July 11th at 12-5pm.  Last year’s race sold out so we encourage you to sign up early.  This will also help guarantee a t-shirt and goody bag.

The Kid’s Events and Fun Run will take place on Pier A.  Day of registration opens at 3:00pm and and kids will enjoy face painting, balloon animals, relay races and more!

The After Party will take place in Sinatra Park (4th and Sinatra Drive) featuring food, drinks, silent auction and the New York City skyline!  Live entertainment will be provided by DJ Incanno from Certified Entertainment and DaddyNoBux.
